At New Windsor School something exciting happened…the police
helicopter and police officers came to visit us. All this excitement happened
before Thursday morning tea. We were inside and heard a whirring sound. Then
Miss Hall said “quick! Let’s make two lines!” Then we went outside and when the
police helicopter landed everyone was cheering. The reason why they visited us
was because it was health week and it was part of our health unit on emergency
services. When it was hovering above New Windsor School, there was lots of
noise and then we waited to ask the police officers questions with our Room 24
buddies. Then finally it was our turn to ask the police helicopter pilots
questions. We went around the helicopter asking police officers questions. Then
they were checking to see if it was safe for the helicopter to fly again and
then they flew away. We said “good bye!”
