Being Leaders
The first year 1:1 device students got their Chromebooks yesterday, what an awesome opportunity for the second year 1:1 device students to be leaders and help their class mates out.
We have been learning to log into our Chromebook, find the google drive, make a document, label a document and file the document.
Today we talked about the etiquette of working on a shared document and put this into practice as we shared what we did for Waitangi Day and what it means to us.
Splish, splash...
New Zealand is an island, and we know how important it is to learn how to be safe in the water.
Learning to work together
We were given newspaper, Sellotape and time...time to build a tower that's at least 1 metre high and can hold the weight of a tennis ball.
Waa the purpose of the activity to build the biggest tower? Or was the purpose to get to know each other and learn to collaborate?
After 5 minutes of planning time we began to make our towers. We quickly learnt that to collaborate we need to share our ideas, listen to each other and makesure we are all involved.
