More Futsal Fun with Pat

We started today's lesson with a quick warm up of stuck in the mud.

A quick game of kings and queens helped us to practice our ball skills. Students were asked to keep track of their points - we were also working on our fairplay skills, by keeping track of our own points.

After honing our skills it was time for a quick game of Futsal. Pat put the students into teams, and then the fun began...

We can't wait for Pat to come back next week!

Remembrance Garden

Schools throughout New Zealand were given a white cross to use to create a rememberance garden.

Room 25 decided to pick a line from a poem we read this week and write this on our cross, along with our names promising never to forget.

Great Grandad's War Medals

Anzac Day

During the first week of term 2 we'll learn about the significance of Anzac Day.

Today we looked at where Gallipoli is. First we needed to learn how to use an atlas.

We thought about how soldiers got from New Zeland to Gallipoli and wondered how long it would take.
